Captain of The Empire with Hammer & Pistol
The armies of the Empire are lead into battle by great generals, every one of them ready to defend their lands against marauding Orcs, the forces of Chaos or whoever else may trespass upon Empire soil. Fighting alongside these commanders are the Captains of the Empire, who lead regiments of State Troops into battle, bravely holding the line against any foe they may face. Some are wealthy nobles equipped with the best equipment that money can buy. Others are ruthless taskmasters who have fought their way to a rank of privilege. Whatever their background, an experienced Captain is always appreciated to keep the men in line. This pack contains one Captain of the Empire with Hammer & Pistol - a finely detailed resin cast kit that comes in two parts, and is supplied with a 20mm square base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Super Glue and Citadel Paints
State Troops form the main stay of your Empire army and are one of the most versatile core units in Warhammer. With sword and shield your ability in combat is second to only the elite Greatswords. A 4+ save in combat enables them to take a charge and also makes them a good place to shelter characters. Equipped with spears you will have a unit that can take a charge or hold a defensive position on the battlefield. Spears enable your men to fight in two ranks, so even if your first rank is cut down by a charging enemy, you will still have a chance to hold the line with at least 5 attacks back. Your final option is a unit of Halberdiers. Great on the charge, with +1 strength, they can inflict a great amount of damage. Halberdiers also function well as a detachment for units of Swordsmen or Spearmen, who are more likely to survive a charge than a unit of Halberdiers.
